High school cross-country runners met at Bryant Park in Albany on Saturday, October 5, for the 16th Annual Harrier Classic, hosted by South Albany High School. The Freshmen/Sophomore girls who were not on varsity ran first, followed by the boys of the same grade. Then the Junior/Senior female runners and boys in the early afternoon. Finally, varsity runners in the late afternoon, separated by middle school and cross-country club runners after the girls finished. Shortly after the races, a single medal was given to the teams with the least amount of points, West Albany not included in the high rankings. For additional information about the meet, any future meets, and the runners, go to Athletic.net, click the cross-country option, and find West Albany listed under the Mid-Willamette category.
