Among the list of CTE rotations, there is the video production class, which takes place across six weeks. The Video Production CTE is similar to the Web Design class because of the use of computers and software used. “In [the] Video Production [CTE], we focus on creating edits for film. That was really interesting, but in Web Design, we mainly focus on 3D printing and different aspects on how to create our own ideas,” freshman Cale McLeod said. Web Design is a big change from the video productions class, as instead of editing videos, students will be designing ways to solve problems.

Web Design comes with the perk of 3D printing, which is an innovative and useful tool that students use to make their creations come to life. Other than 3D printing, you learn how to implement teamwork as a group of peers, a benefit that freshman Kaleb Newby has grown to appreciate.

“I feel like working with others mainly because trying to figure out and agree on stuff with other people while building something [fosters teamwork],” Newby said. “I feel like it’s a really good skill to have because, like, 90% of jobs out there have something to do with that.”

The students of Web Design have said it is useful for a future career that involves things like engineering, creative problem solving, and other such skills. “I think [it is useful], because this is something that I’m leaning towards [for] my future.” said freshman Issac Virgen Garcia, who appreciates the practicality of the class.

The opportunities that are available to students who take the web design class can offer a unique and different experience from the other courses in the CTE rotations. This class can help its students reach their aspirations for their future careers among related fields.
