Senior Noah wines
Noah Wines explains his summer camping trip he takes with his family almost every year.
“We go to the same place almost every year it’s a place called Little Cultus Lake in the Cascades.”
Wines loves his annual trip because it involves his favorite things like family, the outdoors. Playing poker with his family and catching up with people he hasn’t seen in a while.
“I would recommend it because it’s very reliable, and for camping, it’s a very good spot,” Wines said. “It’s not too compact with the spaces. You still have your own like areas”
Students everywhere go on vacations in the summertime. Kids like Wines emphasize this by talking about their adventures over the break.
Senior Lucy Rouse
“I go camping with my extended family on my dad’s side. We swim at camp for a couple nights. Sometimes we take dirt bikes and we just find random trails and ride them around.”Lucy explains the place she goes to. Loon Lake reminds her of her childhood. “ I like it because I’ve been going there since I was a kid. So it’s really nostalgic, all of my memories from this [as a] kid came rushing back and so I really like it because it just reminds me of being a child and I have missed that now that I’m an adult. “ Lucy recommends being in the water any time you could.“ I would recommend bringing a boat if you can because going out on the water when it is really big, and the campsite is pretty small. So it feels crowded when you’re actually camping every night.,but then once you’re out on the water, it’s like it’s crazy and it just feels huge. So definitely recommend to anybody who wants to go, go out on the water.”
Junior Mallory Ramirez
Junior Mallory Ramirez goes to San Diego, California, as a tradition every summer. Ramirez and her extended family always go to the same Belmont Amusement Park, beach, and Airbnb home.
“We rent a beach house for usually around two weeks and just hang out with family,” Ramirez said.
Ramirez enjoys San Diego because of all the memories she has of being there with her family. Along with going to the amusement park and beach, they also go to the zoo and hike just to keep themselves busy and explore around the area.
“We usually go to the zoo or on hikes,” Ramirez said. “We just explore as much as we can.”
With all these traditions just spending time with family, Ramirez recommends San Diego, California, because of all the fun things there are to do there.
