National Art Honors Society has combined with the woodshop team to create a mural that is hoped to be presented in the office April 11, 2025.
The same day as Cultural Day.
The piece is based on Louise Nevelson’s style with the idea of the objects donated being painted the navy blue of the school.
“Her pieces are interesting,” Junior Roman Cooper said, one of the students running the project. “[it’s] a big job.”
The objects represent the clubs with an upright bass, a gavel, figurines, and a microphone to show the diversity of clubs offered.
“[I like to] see unity over all the diversity at school,” Junior Lilia Nunez said.
This job is also the first project for some. Freshman Daphne Winder asked Mrs. Grunwald for extra curricular projects to work on, and was directed to helping find the objects that will be shown and painting.
The mural will be placed by the office under the direction of principal Engle.
