On April 10th, the Northern Willamette Valley was under flood watch after multiple days of constant rain. Rivers rose to considerably high amounts in rivers, drowning out islands and trees, flooding areas with water and debris.
Many roads where closed, including Highway 34 into Corvallis and SpringHill road. As a result, there was a major traffic pileup on other roads as detours, especially Pacific Boulevard heading into North Albany and Highway 20.
Besides the headache of the traffic jams, the sight of the flood was quite awe-inspiring for most. Many nearby residents walked to nearby rivers to catch a glimpse at the high-level rushing waters.
The rivers crested right below the moderate flood stage in many rivers at noon on the 10th.
