For the past couple of years, the West Albany High School performing arts have put on a spring play in the court yard of D-hall.
“We do a Shakespeare show every year,” says Senior thespian Harrison Cordle. “This is the fourth and arguably the final version of Shakespeare. We’re going to do a rotation of every few plays for the next few years.”
The show is called “As You Like.” It’s about a heroine Rosalind as she flees persecution from her uncle’s court to find safety and love in the Forest of Arden. “As You Like” is the play which some of Shakespeare’s most famous sayings originate like “A fool! A fool! I met a fool in the forest.”
The show opens on May 31 at 6:00pm and June 1st at 6:00pm. The show is roughly 50 minutes long.
