Each year, there are many CTE completers. A completer is a student who has taken and finished three years and taken every class a department has to offer.
Culinary pathway completer Aspen Crunk:
“It’s helped with leadership and getting out there a bit. Especially with bistro because you are given that opportunity to be the leader. I feel like, for me, I wasn’t involved in sports or band or choir or theater or anything like that. If you’re trying to find something to get into: culinary. You’re always going to find your people.”
Child Development pathway completer Gavin Ray:
“If you’re planning on going [into] that field, or if you want to have a family…, then yeah, I definitely would recommend it. Very useful. Really just a fun opportunity… I think it’s kind of underrated. A lot of people don’t even know we have a preschool in the building. I don’t think I would have ever found out if I didn’t take the class.”
Media Arts pathway completer Katie Anderson:
“I designed the [yearbook] as one of the head editors, and it feels like my book. It feels like my baby. This class helped me realize what I really wanted to do with my life, and what I really want to go to school for. I really want to keep doing it because I like the designing, I like the meeting everybody, I like the gathering of information through interviews and just being able to talk to people. This class has really just taught me confidence.”
Video Production pathway completer Ryan Katin:
“Before high school, I already was interested in editing videos. So, I just figuredbe a fun class. I hope to be able to find a job that I can do video related stuff, whether that’s broadcasting for news channels or if it’s more video based for a company like advertisements, [or a] communication department or something. I’m kind of just hoping for anything that is [in] that skill set.”
