Low Price Things to Do Over Spring Break

  • PIX Theater: The PIX theater is a local movie theater in downtown Albany, a great way to have fun with friends or family and enjoy a good movie. The new “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is playing this week for a low price of $7 for matinee shows (before 5 p.m.) and $9 for evening shows.
  • Talking Water Gardens Walk – Talking Water Gardens is a hiking place in Millersburg, Oregon. The Talking Water Garden hike is a 1.3 mile loop and  is open from 6 a.m to 8:45 p.m.
  • Heritage Mall Walkthrough-The Heritage Mall is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is a variety at the mall such as the Memory Lane Arcade, Zumiez, Target, Gamestop, food court, GNC, Famous Footwear and Ross, just to name a few.
  • YMCA Activities:The Mid-Willamette Family YMCA has a lot of different activities you can do such as swimming, basketball, soccer, baseball, and access to a gym. A day pass at the YMCA cost $5 a person under the age of 18. The YMCA is open everyday with various hours.
  • Indoor Rock Climbing: The Valley Rock Gym located in downtown Corvallis allows for climbing no matter the weather. They are open all days of the week with various hours and a cost of $20 a person.
  • OSU Sports Game: Oregon State University is popular for its baseball program. Games are being played at OSU’s Goss Stadium at Coleman Field with prices varying from $14 to $27 a ticket.
  • NW Hobbies RC Racing: Northwest Hobbies is a remote control car shop and race area. It costs $10 to run your personal RC cars on the track; however, you are also able to rent an RC car.
  • Gardening: Go pick up some plants at the local Home Depot or Lowe’s and get your hands dirty by planting a garden in your backyard.
  • Costco Samples: The local Costco offers samples of products being sold in their store. Go check them out and do some taste testing! (You will need a Costco membership to enter.)
  • Albany Historic Carousel and Museum: The Albany Historic Carousel and Museum is located near the waterfront in downtown Albany. They are open from Wednesday to Sunday with the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. and a cost of $2 a ride.
